19th Century Light Walnut Panetière

Walnut bread box carved on the top crossbar and the bottom crossbar, from the 19th century, openwork on three sides by turned baluster bars. It opens with a framed door on a lined background. Both sides are glazed. It is topped with three turned wooden bobeches. The bread box is a kind of cupboard in which bread was stored to be preserved. Its importance was most of the time considerable in regional furniture. Dimensions: height 90 cm (height without turned bobeches 75 cm) length: 100 cm depth: 50 cm.
