The Wassily chair or B3, designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer at the Bauhaus school, is now produced by Knoll. A key reference in modernist design, it is the first model to be made from steel tubes sourced from the construction industry. The complex and ingenious structure combines leather straps that create flat surfaces for the seat, backrest, and armrests. Its tubular structure is inspired by that of a bicycle. Originally intended for the painter Wassily Kandinsky, this chair marks the beginning of industrial furniture production and its standardisation. Today, this iconic chair is a statement piece that will highlight the uniqueness of your space. Alone or in pairs, it will easily complement other seating. Design by Marcel Breuer. This model was produced by Knoll in 2011. Chromed steel tube structure - Chocolate leather seat. Some signs of wear on the leather, visible in the photos.
