Pair of D4 folding armchairs by Marcel Breuer, Tecta edition

Superb pair of folding armchairs model D4 by Marcel Breuer for Tecta from the early 80s. This revolutionary and iconic Bauhaus armchair with nickel-plated tubular steel frame uses the same construction technique as the Wassily armchair. However, here, the side uprights are in X and the seat is suspended at the back. The armrests, backrest and seat are in slightly pinkish red "eisengarn" stretched canvas. The set is, considering its age, in very good condition and has no major defects, just a few completely normal marks of use.
