Bronze bas-relief by David Jahrl

Bronze wall plaque attributed to the Swedish artist David Jahrl (1878-1953), created in the 1930s at the end of the Swedish Grace movement, the Swedish interpretation of Art Deco. Size: 20cm X 12cm. This relief represents a figure in motion with fluid lines, enhanced by a beautiful patina with greenish-grey reflections. A multidisciplinary artist trained in Stockholm and then in Paris, David Jahrl distinguished himself through his sculptures, paintings, and lithographs. Some of his works are now preserved in the National Museum of Stockholm.
