Female Sculpture

This contemporary sculpture by Frédérique Thomas depicts a nude woman in a dynamic, almost choreographic pose, captured in a moment of tension and movement. The body, although stylized, retains an expressive anatomy: the muscles are defined, the volumes accentuated, giving the figure a powerful and assertive presence. The woman appears caught in a restrained momentum, her legs firmly anchored on two separate bases, suggesting both balance and constraint. Her arms join at pelvis level, in a protective or inward gesture, while her head is tilted to the side, her features suggesting contemplation or introspection. The treatment of the material, raw and textured, highlights the contrast between the strength of the cement and the suppleness of the female body. The polyester, for its part, allows for this lightness and finesse in the details, particularly in the modeling of the hands and body expressions. Indoor or outdoor use.
