Expressionist oil painting from 1978 by the auctioneer swedish painter åke waldemar larsson. (1913-1995). Oil painting on panel. Signed "waldemar" in the lower part. Described and signed on the reverse by the artist. Very good condition. Framed. Åke waldemar larsson, born july 2, 1913 in lund, died in 1995 in malmö, was a swedish painter. He was the son of the master painter enoch larsson and signe lindau and from 1937 married anna maria lundholm. Larsson studied at skånska målarskolan in malmö 1931-1932 and drawing for jules schyl and during study trips to france, italy and spain. He exhibited separately in malmö, trelleborg, ystad and tomelilla. He participated in some of skåne's art association's group exhibitions. His art consists of still lifes, interiors, cityscapes, scanian landscapes and snow motifs from dalarna in oil or gouache. He painted a number of paintings with motifs from malmö that he donated to malmö museum. Larsson is represented at trelleborg museum, ystad art museum, tomelilla museum and malmö museum.
