Scandinavian oval table lamp, organic style. Glazed stoneware in brown/beige. Design by nils kähler. Manufactured by herman a kähler keramic (hak) in the southern danish city of naestved, from the 1970s. Nils kähler was the fourth generation of the kähler family. He introduced the modern scandinavian style to the products in the 1960s and 1970s. The kähler brand is still considered one of the greatest successes of danish ceramics of the 20th century. Several other designers worked for kähler during these years, such as allan schmidt, jens thirslund and svend hammershoi. The lamp is signed with nils kähler's first name and the company mark "hak". New electrification, original socket. Total height 57cm - lampshade diameter 35cm - lamp base 18x11cm - height of lamp base, socket included 37cm.
