Pair of large blue table lamps Søholm Einar Johansen Denmark 1960s

Large pair of glazed stoneware table lamps produced by Søholm Stentøj in Denmark and designed by Einar Johansen in the 1960s. This is the large model 1080-3, identifiable by its generous cylindrical base, slender conical neck, and its superb nuanced glaze blending shades of blue, turquoise, and green. The lamps are in very good original condition. They have been fully re-electrified and are fitted with new high-quality linen shades. An elegant pair that perfectly illustrates the best of Danish ceramic design from the 1960s.
