Pair of Søholm table lamps model 1051 by Einar Johansen, Soholm, Denmark, 1960.

Elegant pair of ceramic table lamps produced by Søholm Keramik in Bornholm and designed by Einar Johansen in the 1960s. Model 1051 is distinguished by its long matte black conical neck paired with a sculpted base covered in a beautiful shaded blue glaze. The contrasts between the matte and glossy surfaces give these lamps a very graphic presence. Both lamps are signed under the base with Einar Johansen's stylised monogram EJ as well as their model number. The electrical cables have been replaced with new textile cables, and the linen lampshades are also new. The two lamps show a slight difference in the shade of blue of the glaze, a natural variation related to the artisanal production of Søholm ceramics. In very good original condition, without chips, cracks, or restoration.
