Rustic Weathered Farmhouse Folk Art Painted Bridal Cabinet from 1798

Exceptional antique bridal wardrobe dating from 1798, originating from Franconia, southern Germany. This is a beautiful and characterful piece of furniture, partly due to the very decorative green-blue painting. The softly weathered paintwork features all kinds of refined motifs with a striking baroque star in the centre, giving the whole a stunning and historical appearance. The wardrobe shows some old, functional repairs that testify to its long history; for example, the legs and the lock have been replaced in the past. Two practical shelves have been added inside for optimal ease of use. Old, sporadically present woodworm traces have of course been thoroughly checked, inspected and preventively treated. 189cm high, 125cm wide, 58cm deep. This item must be collected.
