Old Italian provincial chest/trunk

Antique Italian provincial chest/box in solid walnut, with a hinged lid, decorated with moulded panels, a shaped apron, and elegant cabriole legs. It has a splendid patina and good overall quality of craftsmanship, making it ideal as a linen chest, toy box, or decorative storage piece. It shows some signs of age and use, but overall, it is in very good condition. The patina is beautifully consistent with its age. Presented with numerous moth holes (as seen in the photos), it is advisable to treat it. Measurements: Width 140 cm x Height 55 cm x Depth 55 cm. Made in Italy. Period: 1890s.
