A large French slatted wood coffee table, also suitable as a bench, produced in the 1960s. The design is defined by a wide, horizontal top composed of evenly spaced wooden slats set within a solid frame. The slatted construction creates a clear linear rhythm across the surface, a feature closely associated with Perriand’s work in alpine interiors, where furniture was reduced to essential elements and repeated forms. The top rests on slender metal legs, introducing a contrast between the warmth of the wood and the more industrial character of the base.
