Art Deco walnut buffet with mirror – circa 1930 (ombp) Important Art Deco dining room buffet, made of walnut, featuring an imposing architecture and rich sculpted decoration. The perfectly structured façade opens with three doors and a central drawer. The two side doors are adorned with veined wood panels, topped with remarkable sculpted decorations of fruits, flowers, and foliage. The large central door showcases a beautiful panel arranged symmetrically, particularly highlighting the natural movements of the wood. The upper part is enhanced by a large bevelled mirror in an arched shape, framed by sculpted decorative elements. A central frieze decorated with fruits and foliage harmoniously completes the ensemble. The interior offers significant storage capacity, with several shelves distributed across the three compartments. The central drawer is fitted with two metal handles, while the doors retain their elegant metal entries and handles. The quality of the woods, the stylised sculpture, and the overall geometry of the piece are characteristic of decorative furniture from the Art Deco period, circa 1925-1935. Period: circa 1930.
