Entirely handcrafted by a family of Mayan artisans in Mexico, this dessert plate perpetuates an ancestral technique dating back to the pre-Hispanic period. The entire process is carried out using 100% natural materials: from working the clay to shaping the piece, through firing and finishing. Within Gloria's family, everyone plays an essential role: Gloria prepares the clay, her daughters assist her with all the drying and coloring stages, while her husband harvests the dried agave leaves used to fuel the fire. Combine the Olas and Simple collections to create a warm, barrio-style table setting, perfect for a relaxed lunch, a festive dinner, or to add a vintage touch to your Christmas tables. Polished with natural beeswax and without glaze, they develop a beautiful patina over time, a testament to their handcrafted nature. These plates are not dishwasher, oven, or microwave safe. Each piece is unique and may have slight variations in color and texture, reflecting its entirely handmade nature.
