Magnificent old chimney clock from venot freres (mark in the interior mechanism) around 1900 - 1914. The decorative statuette representing a tennis player is incredibly modern for this type of clock. The statuette is made of brown patinated gilded bronze. The racquet is removable. The base is in black and red marble. Front and rear doors in gilded brass. Dial in email. Bronze feet. Pendulum movement of paris. The clock works perfectly! It rings the half hours and the hours (the timbre can be quoted to remain silent). Movement by pendulum which, to be endless, must be subtly balanced at the final place of the clock. After each move, it is recommended to bring a watchmaker for the regulation. With its winding key. The front window is split. At sight level on a fireplace for example, we do not see it. If we look from above, we see it (see last photo). The replacement glass costs about ten euros and can be made by the watchmaker on the occasion of adjustment. Height 45 cm. Width 26 cm. Depth 14 cm. Modern tennis dates from 1874 and the 1st parisian tournament (which will become roland garros) dates from 1891. Sport xixth watch mechanism napoleon III decoration collection. Ad brija.
