Art Deco two-seater sofa, Dutch design, 1920s.

This 2-seater sofa was designed and produced in the Netherlands in the 1920s. We have completely reupholstered it with a high-quality checked fabric 'Lotura' by Design of the Times. With its checkerboard pattern, Lotura appears playful and luxurious, making it a perfect combination with the rigid design of these boudoir chairs. This linen blend is the result of a handcrafted process that combines yarn dyeing and piece dyeing, finished with a worked stonewash for a soft feel and a deeply nuanced appearance. The frame has also been internally checked for stability, and the beech has been re-stained to match its original dark walnut colour, characteristic of Art Deco furniture from the 1920s and 1930s, and then re-lacquered in two layers. This sofa is now in very good condition, reupholstered. We also have a matching set of 2 chairs available. We can offer the complete set at a reduced price.
