Figure of a monk and his donkey by the hungarian artist mária sövegjartó (1942-) in glazed red clay ceramic. Vintage period, in the style of the cloutier brothers. Made entirely by hand, turned and modeled, with stamped belt. Fine enamels of green, beige and brown. Christian symbol of the monk on his donkey, with an irreverent side of interpretation of phallic form. Signed söv on the heel. Height 21 X 20 X 11 cm. Good condition, slight flaking in the mane and hair, see photos.
