A pair of 'KO' series lounge chairs, designed by Japanese designer Kunihide Oshinomi for Italian manufacturer Matteo Grassi in the 1980s. While some variations of the KO series feature aluminium side panels, this edition is fully upholstered in Matteo Grassi's black soft leather. The monochromatic look emphasises the geometric silhouette, making this version rarer and highly suited for minimalist or modernist interiors. The wide seating and thick foam cushioning offer a comfortable lounge experience. The chairs have the typical heavy cast chromed steel feet, featuring Oshinomi's signature ribbed detailing. True to Matteo Grassi's heritage as leather artisans, the craftsmanship features heavy duty tonal stitching throughout. Both remain in very good condition. The soft leather remains supple, without tears or cracks. The ribbed chrome feet are in good condition with some minor age-appropriate surface wear.
