Large silver-plated tray Alexandre Gelb Paris, vintage 1960-1970s.

Very beautiful large oval silver-plated tray from the house of Alexandre Gelb, silversmith in Paris, with a square hallmark on one inner side "AG". Vintage, second half of the 20th century, 1960s-1970s. Model richly worked with an openwork edge and a fully decorated background of scrolls, flowers, and relief arabesques, with a central reserve left blank for a possible monogram. Very high quality of execution, ideal for serving, as a centrepiece, or for decoration. 47cm in length, 33cm in width, 4.2cm in height. Very good overall condition, with some discreet signs of oxidation, slight patina on the inside and more so on the back, with fine cleaning scratches that are more or less visible. Weighs approximately 700 to 1000g.
