Here is an elegant vintage teak coffee table, signed "Pye-Franklin" ("Pleasing Furniture") - see the label under the top, a British manufacturer renowned for the quality of its mid-century creations from the 50s-60s. Its clean lines, rectilinear frame legs, and slatted lower shelf perfectly illustrate the Anglo-Scandinavian craftsmanship of the time. A particular feature of this piece: its top combines a teak veneer on the surface, with beautiful natural grain, and solid teak edges, all resting on a frame made entirely of solid teak, including the open lower shelf. This shelf, very practical, adds both visual lightness and storage space (for magazines, decorative items). Compact and timeless, this coffee table naturally fits in front of a sofa or at the centre of a living room, adding a mid-century touch. Fully renovated with care, the table has been meticulously sanded all over. The veneer, slightly damaged in the past on the top and bottom of the table, has been repaired, and the whole has been protected with a medium oak matte varnish that enhances the natural tones of the wood. The structure has also been thoroughly checked, ensuring strength and stability for everyday use. Features.
