Set of 4 Louis XV Provençal style chairs made of solid wood, probably walnut or oak, with a rye straw seat (traditional weaving) dating from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century (approximately between 1880 and 1950). The backrest features horizontally curved (wavy) slats typical of French regional furniture. A shell motif is carved on the upper rail of the backrest (the cap) as well as on the lower rail connecting the front legs. The front legs end with a slight curve, characteristic of the same style. The overall condition is good, the wood has a lovely patina from use, the weaving is taut and in good visual condition. The chairs are sturdy, they do not wobble and show no movement in the joints. Width 45, depth 45, height 44/90.
