Magnificent set of 6 Louis-Philippe chairs in solid walnut, dating from around 1840-1860. These chairs combine the understated elegance of the Louis-Philippe style with the comfort of traditional caning. The backrest features the characteristic curved lines of the period, with an openwork pattern and finely crafted moulded crossbars. Robust construction in solid walnut with a seat made of natural woven straw, at a comfortable height of 45 cm. The turned legs and cross-structured frame ensure proven sturdiness. The caning provides lightness and breathability, typical of 19th-century bourgeois furniture. Warm patina of honey-brown walnut reflecting the authenticity and history of these pieces. The set is in good usable condition, perfect for a dining room with a timeless classic style or a vintage decor project.
