oak chest - 16th century

Superb and rare 16th-century oak chest from Wales. Very beautiful chest still showing primitive Gothic influence, called a 6 plank chest as it is made from 6 planks of a single piece of oak. Very nice decoration on its front and its old wrought iron nails enhance its primitive aspect. Very beautiful top with a superb patina. Collector's item. Small size, uncommon. In superb condition and magnificent patina.
