primitive oak chest - 16th century

Superb and rare primitive oak chest from the 16th century from Wales. Very beautiful chest still showing a primitive Gothic influence called a 6 plank chest since it is made of 6 planks of a single piece of oak. Very nice decoration on its front and its old wrought iron nails that enhance its primitive aspect. We decided to leave the chest as is with its small imperfections since it has a lot of character this way, in our opinion. Collectible piece. Small size, uncommon. In good condition with a beautiful natural patina.
