Wedding armoire in 19th-century French Provincial style, made of solid wood. Fruitwood identifiable by its fine grain and warm, golden patina. Ornamentation + moulded cornice, known as "en doucine". Upper crossbar: Carved with a floral motif (flower basket or garland), a classic symbol of prosperity. Doors: Flat-panel with a curved top in "gendarme hat" style. Original solid wood exaggerations. Functional lock. Hinges: Made of polished iron or steel, long and characteristic of traditional craftsmanship. Slightly curved front legs, typical of transitional furniture.
