L'atelier du cep was founded in 1959 in villenauxe in the aube by jean tessier, a native of this village, on his return from a training stay in denmark. He was the first to exhibit stoneware, thus restoring its nobility. This pot is one of the few to have a pattern, generally favoring refined shapes and colors for his collections. Inspired by scandinavian and japanese, his creations are highly prized today for their timelessness.
