Magnificent wool tapestry from Aubusson, Calypso model by René FUMERON for the ROBERT FOUR house. Number 31 out of 100 copies in the world. Tapestry signed by the artist on the back (see last photo). René Fumeron was a 20th-century painter and cartoonist. He regularly worked with the Robert Four manufactory located in Aubusson. Aubusson tapestries are also classified as part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. Hand-printed wool tapestry. We love its warmly vintage colours and this forest of fish at sunset.
