Elegant regional bonnetière in solid walnut dating from the late 18th century, in the Louis XV style. It features a beautifully moulded and carved door with panels decorated with musical trophies, sheaves of wheat, flowers, and scrolls, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship. Its overhanging cornice, sculpted uprights, scroll feet, and warm patina give it authentic charm. The sides are panelled (more recent) and the whole piece offers a fine quality of cabinetmaking. A character piece ideal for both a classic and contemporary interior. Period: late 18th century (circa 1775-1790) Style: Provincial Louis XV Origin: probably Normandy or Western France. Material: solid walnut. Condition: very good. Old and inactive woodworm holes in the cornice and back (only). Stable, solid, and sound. Beautiful patina.
