Old Herbarium 1894 four framed plates

Framed vintage herbariums. Very nice set of four framed herbarium boards. The whole comes from a herbarium made in france and dating from 1894. The specimens represented are: polygonatum, centaurea scabiosa, genista tinctoria and silaus pratensis. The boards are in good condition, the paper being old it can be yellowed and have some slight stains, one of the boards has a small tear on the right edge on 1 cm. Each plate is filled in by hand and mentions: the plant family, the vernacular name and the scientific name. Size of the boards: 32.5 X 50.3 cm. Dimension with frame: 37.5x 55.3 cm. Frame made of france, custom-made, black satin painted wood and plexiglass glass.
