Secretary Charles X in Walnut Burl Veneer, Marble Top

Splendid Charles X period secretary (early 19th century) in walnut burl veneer, characterised by its beautiful natural patterns and warm patina. Upper part: A large drop-down front opening onto a superb interior theatre in fine marquetry (light fillets), including several small drawers and storage niches. The drop-down front is fitted with a brown leather writing surface from the period, showing slight wear. This piece of cabinetry is an elegant and functional item, ideal for a classic interior or to add a touch of history to a more contemporary decor. Height 145.5cm. Width 97cm. Depth 43.5cm.
