Secretary with drop front in walnut – Empire period, 19th century Elegant straight secretary from the Empire period, dating from the first half of the 19th century, made of walnut with very beautiful symmetrical grain patterns. The façade, simple and architecturally structured, is framed by two engaged column supports. It opens with a large drop front in the upper part and three drawers in the lower part, enhanced by metal keyhole entries. The drop front reveals a particularly interesting interior, consisting of a central niche, several small drawers, and storage compartments. The drop front provides a comfortable writing surface. The whole is topped with a black marble top, adding a beautiful elegance to this piece of furniture with characteristic lines of the Empire period. Beautiful quality of cabinetmaking and superb choice of woods, with mirror-like grain patterns particularly enlivening the façade.
