This 3-Seater sofa/daybed ‘model 470’ was created in 1964 by Swiss architect Hans Bellmann and produced by Wilkhahn in Germany. The design of this grey 3-seater is remarkable with the organic backrest supports and a system where you can fold the seating forward, creating a comfortable daybed. The elegant simplicity and commitment to high-quality materials, funictional form and the rejection of unnecessary decoration makea the 470 a key example of Swiss modernism in furniture design. The grey upholstery, like in the original design we went for a muted tone, is brand new. The dark teak frame is completely original and in excellent condition, as shown in the pictures.
