Large Louis XV Style Mirror in Carved Oak

Date: 2nd half of the 19th century this large rectangular mirror is very decorative thanks to the beautifully carved louis XV rococo style ornaments. The wood is a dark oak. The mirrored glass is beveled (always a sign of premium quality). This mirror originally had a crest. The age of this mirror is clearly visible on the rear panel. Condition: the glass has small spots of oxidation and a duller area. The bottom sculpture has had a small repair (see photo). This mirror once had a large carved crest attached to the frame; you can see where it was attached behind the current sculpture (so it's invisible in terms of damage). Dimensions: 84 cm high, 52 cm wide, 3.5 cm deep, 4.7 kg.
