Date: late 19th century. This large rectangular mirror has a frame that has been hand-carved from a thick oak tree and features acanthus leaves and pierced scrolls. The style is a nod to the louis XIV style. This mirror was probably produced at the end of the 19th century, when historical eclecticism was in vogue, and probably originated in northern france or belgium. The mirror was painted in a very matte petrol blue. There is a hook to hang it in an upright position. The glass is beveled, which is always a sign of quality. Note: please note that colors may vary slightly. The green-blue color is notoriously difficult to photograph, and its display depends on lighting conditions, background, your screen resolution settings, and more. I added a photo with the color of the paint manufacturer (petrol blue). Status: good. The frame is painted. Glass is probably a replacement because the back panel has been glued to a certain point (silicone adhesive is visible on the back). Some cracks already repaired are only visible if they are shown (see photo) and two florets are missing, which is not visible unless reported. Dimensions: 87.5 cm high, 67 cm wide, ± 2.5 cm deep, ±7.5 kg.
