Louis XVI style antique wooden secretary with marble.
Small antique secretary in Louis XVI style, probably dating from the early 20th century, topped with a light marble surface and adorned with delicate bronze or chiselled brass fittings. Made from a warm wood with geometric marquetry patterns, it charms with its elegant curved silhouette and meticulous finishes. Its tall and compact format makes it an ideal secretary for creating a refined office corner in a living room or bedroom. Condition: The furniture is healthy, stable, and perfectly functional, with the drop-down opening and closing easily, as do the doors and the top drawer. The piece shows a beautiful, even patina of use, with some superficial micro-scratches and very discreet signs of age on the wood and edges (visible in the photographs). These slight traces of authenticity bear witness to its history without detracting from its overall appearance or solidity.
