Cabinet / Louis XV Style Console in Marquetry. Black marble top – late 19th century. Elegant console in precious wood with geometric marquetry, featuring a drawer in the apron and two doors at the front. The front is adorned with a remarkable rosewood chevron pattern, highlighted by marquetry frames and contrasting fillets. The sides also showcase carefully selected wood that highlights the richness of the grain. The piece rests on four curved legs ending in bronze sabot feet. It is topped with a moulded black marble surface that adds an extra touch of elegance. The lock entries, handles, and gilded bronze ornaments harmoniously complete the ensemble. Due to its compact dimensions, this piece can serve as a console, a small living room sideboard, an entrance piece, or a music cabinet. Condition. Very good overall presentation condition. Well-preserved marquetry with slight signs of use consistent with age. Marble top in good apparent condition. Bronzes and locks present.
