Carlo Ratti dining table (174 cm) in wood and metal, Italy, 1960s.

Elegant dining table with a romantic steel base. The top has been lacquered and is quite shiny and in very good condition. The shape of the top is slightly tapered towards the sides. The structure is made of steel with nice details typical of Carlo Ratti in shiny brass at the feet. The legs are surrounded by three beautifully shaped wooden boards. In a way, the appearance is quite musical, but that might just be my opinion. The chairs are also by Carlo Ratti, 6 available and all restored (not included in this lot). Many new veneers on the chairs give them a nice circular look, almost like an old Levi's 501 that has been repaired many times. Hours of restoration have been dedicated to these chairs, but the result is a set of 6 brilliant art pieces, newly lacquered, that work very well with the table. Dimensions. Width: 174 cm. Height: 77 cm.
