Vintage Børge Mogensen C18 Shaker table for FDB Møbler, Denmark 1965

Beautiful original C18 'Shaker' dining table, designed by Børge Mogensen for FDB Møbler in Denmark in 1965. This iconic table is considered one of the most timeless designs of Danish modernism and was originally designed in 1947. The design is inspired by traditional Shaker furniture and combines functionality, simplicity, and exceptional material quality. This example is in very nice vintage condition with a beautiful deep warm oak patina and a wonderfully lived-in surface that only develops after decades of careful use. The table shows hardly any signs of use. It features the characteristic elegant trestle construction with generous legroom and a particularly calm, minimalist appearance.
