Brutalist dining table in solid pine, attributed to Rainer Daumiller and made in Denmark. Daumiller's sculptural solid pine furniture is now among the most sought-after pieces of Danish brutalism: powerful in form, honest in material, and with a strong presence in space. The heart of the table is its base: four sculptural, curved legs rise organically from a cross base and support the oval top like branches. The transitions are smoothly shaped and invite touch of the wood. The top features a thick, rounded edge that emphasises the model's solid character. A remarkable detail: the excellent gear extension mechanism, which allows the two halves of the top to be separated evenly. With its two 44 cm extensions, the table reaches approximately 228 cm and accommodates a large gathering. Under the top is the original quality label "Made in Denmark" from the Danish Furniture Manufacturers Association. The table has been fully restored: cleaned, sanded, and revarnished. The pine displays a lively grain with its characteristic knots and a warm honey hue. Condition: very good vintage condition – fully restored, stable, and perfectly functional, with slight signs of use due to age. A rare and expressive table for lofts and exceptional interiors. Dimensions: approximately 140 × 100 × 74 cm (width × depth × height), open: approximately 228 cm (with 2 extensions of 44 cm).
