De Ster sofa - 3 seater - fully restored dutch design mid century modern

An absolute highlight in Dutch Mid Century Design! This dazzling sofa is a product of the renowned furniture factory De Ster and is a contemporary of the famous "knoop" model. Because this model was somewhat overshadowed by other models in its own time, it is now a very rare piece. It is certain that the model was made by De Ster and is of world-class design. The sculptural frame, made of solid teak wood, features beautiful organic shapes and open sides, reminiscent of the designs and finishes seen on luxury ships. The armrests blend beautifully into the frame. The upholstery has been completely replaced by professionals, using a beautiful green melange furniture fabric, extra soft and with a fine relief in various shades of green. The frame is fitted with new straps underneath and horizontal tension springs at the back for unique looks and comfort. This unique eye-catcher could be the design classic that steals the show in your Mid Century interior. Country of origin: Netherlands. Manufacturer: De Ster. Height: 79 cm. Seat height: 44 cm.
