Senator 3-seater sofa in teak by Ole Wanscher, Denmark, 1950s.

Original three-seater sofa from the Senator series, designed by Ole Wanscher and manufactured in Denmark. This piece is made of solid teak by France & Daverkosen. The Senator series is among Wanscher's most well-known creations, combining Scandinavian elegance with exceptional craftsmanship. Its delicate proportions, gently curved armrests, and organic formal language make it a classic of mid-century Danish design. The sofa features an elegant frame made of solid teak and an exceptionally beautiful back view, allowing it to be placed in the middle of a room. The foam cushions have been completely renewed, providing excellent comfort and are covered in high-quality light boucle fabric from the premium Danish manufacturer Kvadrat / Sahco. The straps under the cushions and the dust cover have also been replaced. Condition: professionally revised. New foam with Kvadrat / Sahco boucle covering, new straps and dust cover. The solid teak is in very nice stable vintage condition, with only a few light scratches, small dents, and discreet discolourations due to age. A rare designer sofa, with exceptional craftsmanship and timeless elegance. Dimensions: approximately 182 × 75 × 80 × 43 cm (width × depth × height × seat height).
