Limoges porcelain signed. Very beautiful work of unalterable floral decoration. Floral frieze in pink and green (cherry or wild apple blossoms), with a diamond-shaped geometric border on the neck — typical of a neo-romantic/transitional style from the 1970s to 1990s. Quite a characteristic modernist shape, sometimes referred to as a "lying vase" or "tilted vase." AKIL Limoges-France mark, with the mention "Unalterable Decoration – Grand Fire Colour – made and decorated in the City of Limoges." AKIL is a relatively confidential Limoges house, active mainly in the 1980s–2000s, specialising in quality porcelain for the French and Middle Eastern markets (the name AKIL is of Arabic origin, which explains part of their export clientele). It does not have the notoriety of Haviland or Bernardaud, but produces authentic porcelain, made and decorated in Limoges. The mention "grand fire colour" is a real quality argument: the colours are fired at very high temperatures, making them indeed very stable over time. Height 17.5 cm and neck diameter 9.5 cm. Excellent condition.
