We are delighted to offer for sale this superb original Victorian Maple & Co sofa in the English country house style, which is part of a set. The sofa has the left rear leg marked with the order number, the armrests feature floating buttons inside, and the piece is finished with domed cups. The original fabric is a peacock upholstery, which, although professionally cleaned, is heavily faded and worn with repairs and replacement panels due to its age of over 100 years. The structure is perfectly solid, fully equipped with pocket springs under the seat, backrest, armrests, and front panel, providing optimal comfort. Three pairs of armrest covers are included in the sale. Sofa dimensions: Height 83.5 cm, Width 193 cm, Depth 106 cm, Seat height 39.5 cm. This sofa is a refined typically English seat for a study or an elegant boudoir. The condition is worn but with an intact structure, showing normal signs of age and use, with minor losses and discolouration.
