I am selling this dish from the Saint-Amand factory, signed Lou Basquez. An authentic piece that will bring a touch of elegance and authenticity to your table. This is from the factory of the Grand Établissements Céramiques de Saint-Amand (also known as Saint-Amand-les-Eaux), located in the north of France. The date of manufacture of this piece is from the first half of the 20th century, more specifically from the period between the 1920s and the 1940s. The key indicator: The very clear mention "MADE IN FRANCE" above the town. This inscription in English became widespread on French tableware from the 1920s to comply with international export regulations (notably the McKinley Act in the United States). The type of cracked white earthenware (often referred to as Terre de Fer or semi-porcelain) and the graphic style of the stamp perfectly correspond to this industrial era of the interwar period.
