"Sillo Foradat" armchair by Juan Guillermo Tejeda Marshall, 1983

"Chair 'Sillo Foradat', a unique piece made of solid pine and blue pigment by Chilean artist and designer Juan Guillermo Tejeda Marshall, known as Tex, in 1983. Its asymmetrical construction combines a semi-circular backrest with a lattice structure shaped like a fan on the left side. The right armrest forms a solid geometric volume, while the seat features a graphic composition in blue pigment. This chair is part of a group of seventeen creations presented at the Blauhaus exhibition, organized in 1983 at the Fundació Caixa de Pensions in Barcelona, under the direction of Safia, Guillemot, and Navarés. The exhibition explored the relationship between artistic creation and functional furniture through an experimental approach characteristic of 1980s design. Unique piece, Barcelona, 1983.
