Pair of low Brutalist oak lounge chairs with new rush seats – circa 1935

Two beautiful low lounge chairs in solid oak with new rush seats, made in the Netherlands around 1935. They sit wonderfully low and comfortably. Their broad, robust form makes them a real eye-catcher, and they fit perfectly with the style of Henning Kjærnulf, Axel Einar Hjorth, Charlotte Perriand, Jean Touret and Charles Dudouyt. The natural oak and rush give a warm presence, by the fireplace and in a Brutalist, country, wabi sabi or modern interior. Good condition, seats rewoven.
