Beautiful stool designed by Edmund Homa. The stool was manufactured in the 1960s at the Gosciecinska furniture factory from solid beech wood. The GFM type stool is considered one of the best Polish designs of the time. The stool has been fully renovated with new tension straps and seat foam. About the upholstery fabric: Designed by Anni Albers, woven by Dedar. Rows of soft triangles enliven a two-tone jacquard velvet, interpreting a drawing on paper by Anni Albers. The irregular and vibrant geometric pattern creates a sense of rhythm and avoids repetition. The textured looped background with vertical evolution contrasts with the softness of the velvet: the dense, matte, and cotton-like white variant, and the colourful version with its silky appearance. Ideal for upholstery and panels. In collaboration with The Josef & Anni Albers Foundation. Fabric composition: 45% cotton, 35% viscose, 12% polyester, 8% linen. Martindale: 45, 000 cycles. It is possible to prepare this stool with other wood and fabric options. Edmund Homa (1927-2017), renowned Polish interior architect and designer. Condition: Excellent, renovated and reupholstered. Place of sale: 05-080 Hornowek, Poland.
