British chest of drawers signed G-Plan, the famous company from High Wycombe that established modern, refined, and accessible furniture in post-war England. The golden stamp, affixed in the first drawer, attests to its origin. The piece bears the hallmark of furniture from this period: clean lines, taut volumes, and oak highlighted, with a hint of Scandinavian inspiration in the delicacy of the legs. Its facade consists of two large stacked drawers. The oak takes on a deeper honey hue, with a lively and readable grain that contrasts with the lighter tone of the top and frame. The sides, with rounded edges, wrap around the facade and soften the silhouette of the piece. The slightly overhanging top creates a sharp and delicate edge. The handles are one of the most beautiful details: carved from wood, they feature a faceted volume with beveled sides that play with light and add a lot of character to the facade. The piece rests on an oak base with slender splayed legs, connected at the front by a sculpted crossbar that lightens the volume and defines the style. Inside, the first drawer is divided into two compartments, very practical for storing small items, papers, linens, or accessories. Compact and versatile, this chest of drawers can serve as an oversized bedside table, an entryway piece, living room storage, or a bedroom dresser. It fits well in both vintage interiors and more contemporary decor. Its high-quality and meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the assembly of the drawers, the precision of the fittings, and the quality of the finishes. It has been completely renovated: the entire piece was sanded to reveal the beauty of the oak, then protected with a medium oak matte varnish that preserves the natural appearance of the wood. It is in perfect condition. Features Dimensions in cm: 67 (H) x 76.5 (W) x 46 (D) Materials: oak, oak veneer Colors
