Magnificent large round serving dish in glazed stoneware from the famous Poterie de la Colombe, an art workshop founded in 1960 by Madeleine Brault. This unique piece in the Mid-Century Modern and Brutalist style features the famous "Tachiste" decor, emblematic of the workshop: an abstract composition created by projections of dark oxides on a cream white glaze, creating a singular and ever-different pattern. The reverse in red stoneware reveals the natural beauty of the clay used. Entirely handcrafted, this dish is signed on the back with the famous relief stamp representing the stylised dove with the inscription "Colombe France". A rare collector's item, ideal for enthusiasts of vintage French ceramics, 1960s design, and authentic table art. Dimensions: • Diameter: 30 cm. • Height: 2 cm. Brilliant glaze and perfectly preserved. This dish is part of a magnificent complete table service for 8 people, several pieces of which are also available in my shop: • 8 flat plates. • 8 soup bowls (deep plates). • 4 mini appetizer bowls. • 1 large soup tureen with its lid. • 1 rectangular dish. A rare opportunity to gather a complete set signed by Poterie de la Colombe.
