Charming small square bowl with soft corners in glazed stoneware from the famous Poterie de la Colombe, an art workshop founded in 1960 by Madeleine Brault. This unique piece in the Mid-Century Modern and Brutalist spirit features the famous "Tachiste" decor, emblematic of the workshop: a projection of dark oxides on a cream white glaze, creating a singular abstract pattern, contrasting with the visible reddish stoneware edges. Entirely handcrafted, this bowl is signed on the back with the famous relief stamp representing a stylised dove with the inscription "Colombe France". Versatile and elegant, it will easily find its place in decoration or on a table: presentation bowl, tea bag holder, butter dish, key tray, or small everyday art object. Dimensions: • Length: 13 cm. • Width: 13 cm. • Height: 2 cm. Excellent overall condition: shiny glaze, no cracks or chips. A superb vintage piece perfectly preserved. This bowl is part of a magnificent stoneware table service for 8 people, of which the other elements are also available in my shop: • 8 flat plates. • 8 soup bowls (deep plates). • 4 mini appetizer bowls. • 1 large round platter (30 cm diameter). • 1 large soup tureen with its lid. A great opportunity to gather a complete and coherent set signed by Poterie de la Colombe.
